Become the best version of you, or become someone else

The first foray into apps for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority was intended to be something fun and frivolous, an extension of the brand into the lives of our visitors. The result was VegasID, an app that allowed you to “have the best night of someone else’s life” by not only creating a false identity, but gave users the backstory and photos to prove it. With over 300 million possible combinations from silly to serious, we gave users a way to transform into their best Vegas self.

While downloads weren’t tremendous due to a lack of awareness, those who did download it, on average created more than one identity and used the app more than once for more than 5 minutes per use.
